Face shields only protect against splatter from the front, and provide limited protection against splatter from the sides. They should be worn with other appropriate types of PPE, for example face masks and goggles.
We have several types of face shields, both purchased and made by volunteers. We will try to supply what we have in stock, but you may request a particular type of shield.
Most of our face shields are “Verks”. These consist of a 3D printed or injection molded headband paired with a visor, usually made from Dura-Lar transparency film.
“WISC” shields have foam padding on for the forehead and an elastic headband.
Die cut shields
These “origami style” shields are delivered flat and must be assembled. Some variants have more forehead protection.
